Castle Street. This row was opposite Charlie Whitten's shop, on leaving town they were on the right before the railway bridge. The gentleman in the photo is William Hunniford here on holiday from Chicago, a brother-in-law of David Webb, William emigrated to USA as a young man, he died in the 1980's. |
Well known Charlie Whitten owned this shop in Castle Street, the previous owner was a Mrs. Ruby Woods. Leaving town the shop was located on the left a short distance before the railway bridge, just about where the present Shillington Northway bridge is. |
