Tom Warminton's garage in Bridge Street

Photo loaned by Harry Nixon,  his father who is 97 years old , he told him that one of his first jobs was serving petrol at those pumps.

Tom's garage moved to Meadow lane now the premises used by Superglaze, Superglaze premises was also used as the PSV centre probable around the 1960's.

Funeral of the late Mr Sheil on the 8th. September 1968 as

it passes the house where Sir Robert Hart was born, 42 Woodhouse Street.

Note the houses of John Street and David Street have been demolished.  The road behind the railings was Mary Street but that section was locally known as 'Sheils Hill'  At one stage Mr Sheil also lived in the houses behind the railings.
